What path led you to wealth management?

Working in the pressure pumping services industry out of school, I became enamored with all facets of the business, but always gravitated toward the numbers. While I recognized all the shades of gray, I found comfort in the consistency that 1 + 1 always equaled 2. The industry created massive amounts of revenue, but margins could be tight and the cyclical nature illustrated how so many went from feast to famine. The need for sound, long-term planning led me toward my passion to help clients build and preserve all they’ve worked for.

Why did you join TFO Wealth Partners?

I’ve always desired to surround myself with honest, ethical, hardworking individuals and that perfectly describes the home I have found with TFO. I always push myself to be better for our clients and I’m thankful to work with a team who do the same. Also, and of equal importance, is the wealth management philosophy and experience we deliver to our clients –a firm-wide focus on fiduciary duty combined with an evidenced-based approach and commitment to truly helping families is what ultimately led me to gravitate to TFO Wealth Partners.

What most excites you about your work?

Every day is different and brings about a new challenge. Things change in our business and in our clients’ lives and it allows me to continue to develop myself professionally, while at the same time help meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and their families.

What has been your most rewarding career experience?

Seeing long-term plans come to fruition for our clients and their families has to be the most rewarding aspect of the job. Being part of the client’s advisory team, a trusted group that helps provide clarity around each clients’ goals and objectives, develops a plan for their long-term success, and ultimately being able to watch that plan become a reality is encouraging and uplifting.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’m most proud of my family – my wife Rachel, and 2 daughters Sophie and Ava. I am continuously in awe of my wife who day in and out handles the hardest aspects of parenthood with our two young ones and makes it look easy.

It’s incredible to end my day with them both reading together and doing math facts, each day advancing further and further. These times won’t last forever so I want to enjoy them while I still can.

What are some of your life's biggest influences?

My grandfather was my biggest influence growing up and still is today. He wasn’t ‘teaching me’ per se, but I learned the most important life lessons from him. His actions were memorable, and I discovered more about his character from others’ stories of his kind acts and gestures. I’ve also been influenced by the entrepreneurial leadership I’ve surrounded myself since working at the young age of 14. I enjoyed being around those who took the road less traveled and were rewarded for the risk they took.
